MHE’s principle, Myron Lieberman, founded MHE in 1968 and since that time has acquired, developed and managed in excess of $500 million of multi-family, commercial, office and industrial real estate.  MHE’s conglomerate spans throughout Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, and North Carolina. 

 

          Mr. Lieberman began his real estate career in 1968 by building and managing a chain of private preschools in Southern California and Southern Nevada, which his son continues to manage so that Mr. Lieberman can focus on real estate holdings.  By 1978, Mr. Lieberman constructed over 40 custom homes, numerous industrial buildings and strip malls, and personally managed a portfolio of 500 apartments units.  Mr. Lieberman has experienced multiple market cycles including the RTC days of the early 1990s.

 

           Mr. Lieberman has extensive experience turning around troubled properties and creating value through management and capital investment of properties in all market cycles.   He takes great personal pride in all projects and continues to personally oversee all assets.

 

Mr. Lieberman holds a J.D. and regularly works with the California Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Center to mediate lawsuits.  In addition, Mr. Lieberman donates time and money to the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and has personally facilitated a successful micro loan program.   




NATE AKIVA

Mr. Akiva joined MHE Real Estate in mid-2008 after practicing law for five years with the prominent real estate law firm Pircher, Nichols and Meeks in Century City.  During Mr. Akiva’s tenure at Pircher, he focused his efforts on real estate purchase, sale and loan transactions, as well as joint ventures and workouts.

 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Akiva worked as a management consultant with Accenture and ICG Commerce, helping large businesses create better, more effective supply chains.  One of his primary clients was Harrah’s Entertainment, where his team built a strategic sourcing group from the ground up.  Mr. Akiva spear-headed sourcing for the design and construction group where he bulk-sourced (and taught the internal team how to strategically source) all of Harrah’s fixtures.  Mr. Akiva’s efficiencies in sourcing continued to be leveraged used by the multi-billion dollar company.

 

Mr. Akiva holds a a J.D from UCLA  and a B.S. in finance from the University of Southern California.  He is active in numerous local charity groups and spends all of his spare time with his young family.

 


 

ANDREW BOULTON

DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITIONS & ASSET MANAGEMENT

Mr. Boulton has worked extensively with all aspects of real estate transactions for the past seven years.  Prior to his experience working on the principle side of investments at MHE, Mr. Boulton was a successful commercial real estate broker at Marcus & Millichap, representing both buyers and sellers in transactions across all property types. 

 

Mr. Boulton is experienced with commercial leasing, residential leasing, BPOs (performing numerous BPOs for estates, trusts & other clients while with Marcus & Millichap), CAM reconciliations, contract negotiations and ownership directives for the purpose of increasing / maximizing income for the purpose of dispositions.  Mr. Boulton, along with Mr. Akiva, currently manages and asset manages over 1,000 units within Mr. Lieberman’s personal portfolio.   Mr. Boulton takes a no nonsense approach to property valuation and sets realistic performance goals in order to manage expectations during this challenging economic period.
